Thanks for your interest in the third annual bangtanexchange Valentine's Day Exchange.

After consideration over the last month, we have decided this year that we are going to change the sign-up process in order to best fit the needs of the BTS fic community. There has been, especially in the last year, a huge increase in the amount of BTS fic that is posted primarily on AO3.

As such, for this round (and possibly for future rounds, depending on how smoothly things run) sign-ups will be conducted on AO3. Under the cut, you'll find more information about how the sign-up process will work. If you do not have an AO3 account and would like an invitation, please let us know! You do not have to have an account to participate- email us if this is the case.

bangtanexchange will still be our homebase for posting information and fics will be crossposted here as well during the course of the exchange. Any other announcements will be posted to our twitter account, @bangtanexchange.

Never fear, signing up on AO3 is a straightforward process! Still, we know the format can be a little confusing if you have never used it, so we want to explain a bit about how the process works. A duplicate copy of our rules is available on the profile page in case you need to refresh yourself before signing up.



When sign-ups open on November 25—you might notice that we are using Pago Pago time, because the mods have your back like that—you will see a link in the sidebar of the collection page that says Sign-up Form. Click on that.



While the format might be unfamiliar, all the information we are asking for is the same as years past and our sign-up form explains exactly what each section means. The only difference is that we were not able to create a designated place to describe what you don't want to read in fic, so make sure to include any triggers or squicks in one of your prompts (or as a separate prompt) for the mods and your future writer to be aware of. If you have any questions about this, or any other parts of the sign-up, please contact the mods.

Please be aware that there are three mandatory requests and options for up to ten. There is only one space for offers (because BTS is only one fandom!) but three required pairings. To participate in BTSX you must have at least three unique requests and offer three unique pairings, including gen.

hello mods!! could you maybe consider extending sign-ups for a couple of days? a lot of ao3 writers ive spoken to did not know the exchange was happening so im trying to spread the word. thanks :)

unfortunately we cannot extend signups as we want to give our writers a full two months to write and we have already had to shave some time off our schedule as compared to last year. writers have a decent amount of time left to sign up- until the end of the 4th pago pago time.
